At one time or another most dollmakers have had the experience of creating a wonderful set of hands only to later find the heart wrenching sight of a broken finger

I have found that building a strong armature for the fingers and hand to be an effective way in minimizing broken fingers. I've put together a mini tutorial to help show how I do hands for larger dolls or figures. My method invloves a bit of wire twisting, which helps to strengthen each finger.
